We hope you had a fantastic half term. We are working very hard behind the scenes to ensure we are moving forward as a club for season 22/23, in March we will be able to share a number of key updates with you with what we have planned. Until then, we hope all children and parents enjoy their football with games coming thick and fast in the final phase of the season.

NUFC U8s versus Fulham FC U8s – What a game!
A group of Northfields United FC U8s attended Fulham FC’s pre academy at Trailfinders Sports Ground on Friday 28th January. Fulham FC have newly started the Development Centre at the new indoor facility at Trailfinders Sports Club and are keen to build relationships with local grassroots clubs, in addition to checking out any potential talent!
The NUFC side did very well, competing player for player and doing themselves and Coach Chris proud.

Development Centre, and the progress being made by our players in the U8s, it was a real joy watching them compete against a very strong, technical Fulham FC pre-development side. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that people won’t see, ensuring we are able to develop all players and progress those ready for the step up. This is the start of some very exciting times for Northfields United FC!”
And what of the end result? A victory for NUFC U8s 7-5. Well done to all who played!
NUFC U11 players reach the South East Schools Finals with their school team!
After winning the Ealing Schools U11 Cup back in the Autumn, St Mark’s Primary football team, which features four of our NUFC U11 squad, represented Ealing borough in the Middlesex Schools U11 Cup held in Enfield on the 27th January. The team remained undefeated and didn’t concede a goal all day and beat Enfield borough champions St George’s 3-0 in the final. St Mark’s now go on to represent the whole of Middlesex in the South East finals which will be held in March.
Investment in new equipment
We have invested in 16 new mini goals and 12 new target nets, and an impressive 1,000 cones! The equipment will support coaches and players when taking part in training, allowing coaches to work with our players in smaller groups, focusing on specific phases of play in a game, and of course improving shot accuracy!
NUFC Coach Recruitment Drive
Do you know anyone who you think would make a good football coach? Maybe it’s something that you have considered for yourself? If you know of anyone interested in football coaching or taking a NUFC team next season please do get in touch. NUFC offer opportunities to progress as a coach, and we support coach development by paying for coaching qualifications.

Sunday 19th June – NUFC player / team trials for Season 22/23. All players registering for next season will need to be in attendance. Further info will follow in March regarding specific times for age groups.
Saturday 25th June – End of Season Awards and Celebration Event from 1-4pm.
Player & Coach Awards
There are no player or coaches awards this month due to cancellations and half term. These will resume next month.
